Hey everyone!

Hope you are safe and doing great!

The fact that default Hyper-V network adapters setup limits your inbound and outbound physical machine network speed. To solve this issue, there a quick network setup adjustment which does release your full machine network bandwidth potential.

In this short guide, we will go through the network adjustment setup, using a Windows 11 22H2 or 23H2 machine.

This issue has been fixed on Windows 11 24H2 - Microsoft did add vEthernet (Default Switch) which fixed the issue.

Steps

1 - Go to View network connections

2 - Right click on vEthernet (Virtual Switch)

3 - Click on Properties

4 - Click on Configure

5 - Go to Advanced tab

6 - Click on Large Send Offload Version 2 (IPv4) and switch it to Disable state

7 - Click on Large Send Offload Version 2 (IPv6) and switch it to Disable state

8 - Click OK

9 - Restart your machine

Tests

There are few tests on the same machine (a laptop with WiFi 5 adapter and 1000/100 MB/s internet speed router) with Windows 11 installed

Before disabling Large Send Offload Version 2 (IPv4) and Large Send Offload Version 2 (IPv6) in MB/s

After disabling Large Send Offload Version 2 (IPv4) and Large Send Offload Version 2 (IPv6) in MB/s

You are awesome! 👍

That is it. Hope this short guide helped you and saved your time for the best.

Thank you for reading and see you soon.
